Ich war Praktikantin beim Casa Cultural von September 2014 bis März 2015. Meine Hauptaufgabe war die Evaluation und Systematisierung des langjährigen Projektes der Theatergruppe Traumweberinnen. Ich habe eine Investigation durchgeführt, welche qualitative Datensammlungen beinhaltete, wobei ich die Teilnehmerinnen der Gruppe interviewt und beobachtet habe. Ich habe außerdem eine Spendenkampagne organisiert, da die Organisation über geringe finanzielle Mittel verfügt und habe geholfen, die Homepage zu restrukturieren und zu übersetzen.

Ich hatte die Möglichkeit, an allen Aktivitäten, Workshops und Ausflügen der Casa Cultural teilzunehmen. Somit konnte ich mein Wissen aus dem Studium vertiefen, und zusätzlich lernen, wie man in der Praxis die Rechte von Frauen und Kindern in der Comuna 18 in Cali stärken und schützen kann. Das Praktikum war sowohl für meine persönliche als auch für meine berufliche Entwicklung sehr bereichernd. Dank meiner lieben Kolleginnen habe ich mich von Anfang an willkommen und sehr wohl gefühlt, und sie alle hatten sehr viel Geduld mir zu erklären, zu zeigen und zu lehren. Ich habe die Arbeit hier sehr genossen, weil es die perfekte Mischung aus Büroarbeit/akademischen Arbeiten und Austausch mit den Frauen war.

I did an internship with the Casa Cultrual Tejiendo Sororidades from September 2014 until March 2015. My main task was the evaluation and systematization of the theater project «Creators of dreams». I had to compile a qualitative investigation that entailed the collection, analysis and presentation of qualitative data, interviewing and observing the women that were part of the group. I also initiated a fundraising campaign to support the NGO and helped to re-structure and translate their homepage.

I had the opportunity to participate in all of the activities, workshops, excursions and conferences offered by the Casa Cultural. Thereby, I could deepen my knowledge acquired during my studies, as well as expand my practical skills in the methodology of promoting the rights of the women and children of Cali’s Comuna 18. The internship has been extremely enriching for both my personal and professional development. Thanks to the team of the Casa Cultural, I felt very welcome from the beginning on, and they had a lot of patience in explaining, showing and teaching me. I really enjoyed the work because it was the perfect mixture of «academic and office work» and interaction and work with the women who participate in the activities offered by the Casa Cultural.
